Title: A Different Prayer
Pairing: Jack/Will if you squint really hard
Disclaimer: Not mine. Disney owns all save for one ship name, which belongs to a friend. I’ll trade with them though.
AN: For the pirates500 ‘Broken’ challenge. Also, a bit of a late Happy Anniversary to PotC.
Summary: Jack was never a very religious man. After all, why would he be?
<a href="http://www.livejournal.com/users/fey_puck/143608.html#cutid1>I was your holy man. I was your fool of desire.</a>

Challenge #31 - Broken
Broken up, broken down. Broken out. Broken bones. Hearts. Promises.
Your topic this week, obviously, is Broken.
Before the end of Wednesday, July 14, tell us the tale of something - or someone - that's been broken.

Title: The Last DayAuthor:
None of the characters, ships, places, or events in PotC belong to me. But I do have a Jack Sparrow plushie!Genre:
PG - Character Death.Summary:
...if I summarize it, it'll spoil the story entirely. How's "A ship sails out for the final time"?Notes:
I feel..blasphemous...for having written this. I also want to cry. *Sniff*
But I did manage to avoid going too
far over this time - 539 words. It's better than I have been doing! ^^'( There was only him, now.Collapse )

Challenge #29 - Fire
Pillage, plunder, and burn. 'Accidents' in the powder magazine. Flaming young men.
Should the damnable site let me post, your topic this week will be Fire.
Because things are hot on the high seas.

Creatures of the Sea
Title: The Lonely Man and the Mermaid's GrandmotherAuthor:
None of the characters, ships, places, or events in PotC belong to me. But I do have a Jack Sparrow plushie!Genre/Characters:
Comedy - Murtogg, Mullroy, and the Mermaid.Rating/Warnings:
Men at sea sometimes see strange things - or wish they did.Notes:
This one's too long, too - seems to be a habit of mine. ^^' 677 this time, I think. The story is set well before the bulk of PotC takes place, during the period when Port Royal was still undergoing a setup as a colonial outpost. I've taken the liberty of bestowing given names on characters who don't have them already (or don't according to the IMDB, at least...). The names of the inn and ship are historically accurate in fashion, if somewhat early-period; though as far as I know, neither actually existed.( Edmund Murtogg had never seen a mermaid - at least, not until that balmy September morn.Collapse )

Disclaimer: If I owned them, I'd be having lots of fun right now.
Feedback: Pretty please?
AN: For the pirates500 "Sea Creatures" challenge. I didn't spend a whole lot of time on this so, please, be gentle!

Title: Fade Away
Pairing: You get to pick…
Disclaimer: Not mine. I lack the distinctive ears.
Warning: Character death.
AN: For the pirates500 ‘Salt’ challenge. Partly inspired by a Dir en Grey song. Then it took a life of its own.
Summary: At the end of every tale there is sorrow. charmed and enchanted then fades away

Challenge #27 - Salt
Salt water, salt spray, salted meat, salty dogs. The life of a pirate, apparently, is a well-seasoned one.
This week, your topic is exactly that: Before Wednesday, June 16 comes to a close, bring back a tale of salt and the many roles it plays on - and in - the sea.

Challenge #25 - That Night in ____
Please excuse the lack of a challenge yesterday. It's been a very bad week, and I'm still trying to figure out precisely where Wednesday went
... (Pity we've already done 'Late'. This would probably be a good time for it. ^^')
This week's topic is That Night in ____.
Pick your favourite port of call, and weave someone a fond (or not-so-fond) memory of wenching, plotting, pirating, or otherwise trying to enjoy themselves. You have until Wednesday, June 2 to get it done (but if you're having so much fun you don't wake up until the next day, well...who am I to blame you? ^.~).

Challenge #23 - Comedy and Tragedy
(It's still Wednesday here, but almost not-Wednesday. It's a happy medium! ...sort of.)
'Comedy and Tragedy' - Take an unfortunate event and put a humourous twist on it, or dampen a happy occasion. You have until Wednesday, May 19, to play with people's emotions and submit your responses. Have fun. ^.~

Title: It kinda hurt…
Disclaimer: Not mine. I have Mr. Cotton’s tongue in a jar though.
Feedback: Yes please?
AN: For pirates500’s “It’s all fun and games…” challenge.
Summary: Mr. Cotton had never been one to refuse a challenge. Even when he probably should have. Owie.

Challenge #21 - It's all fun and games...
(Yet another variation on previous challenges! Hurray!)
Ragetti's other eye?
Just what did
Mr Cotton do to earn the loss of his tongue (and where did he get the parrot)?
Does Jack really
know something about the contents of Will's pants that we don't?
Playing rough. It's all fun and games until someone gets hurt (or loses an eye!) - and who better to do the hurtin' than the various crews of the Black Pearl?
Pick your favourite damaged, disabled, or otherwise dysfunctional character (or injure someone new! Why not?), and come up with an explanation for how they got that way. Responses to this week's challenge are due, as always, by the end of next Wednesday - that's May 5th, for those of you who are also date-challenged (like me ^^').

None of the characters, ships, places, or events in PotC belong to me. But I do have a Jack Sparrow plushie!Rating:
PG for a couple of questionable references, just to be safe.Genre/Pairing:
Either None/None or Object Fetishization - Jack/Ship, whichever floats your...er...boat.Summary:
Jack dwells on the past, the future, and how, when, or if he's getting there.Notes:
Technically, this doesn't fall under the main qualification for the community; that of being 500 words. It was slightly over 700 at the completion of the first draft; I've cut it down as far as I can, but it's still right about 130 words too long. I'm hoping nobody'll mind if I post it anyway. ^^' In addition, some of the sentence construction is decidely improper. This is deliberate on my part, and intended to convey an impression of desperation and/or mental instability.( BlackCollapse )
Title: Random Patterns
Disclaimer: Disney owns ‘em. I’m just a slave to ze muses.
AN: For the pirates500‘Ink’ challenge. Was under the influence of From Hell when I started it.
Summary: Takes place some time after Jack loses the Pearl. He has an…epiphany of sorts from a rather odd source. Just random patterns...
